The results of all league matches, regularly updated throughout the season by Neil Bartlett, are to be found at the website of the Sutton & District Badminton League.
Results for last season (2008/09) are available in pdf form, courtesy once again of Sutton & District, who also maintain a comprehensive record of all winning teams for the past fifty-seven years, presumably since formation of the Sutton and District Badminton League.
Hybrid League: (continued from first page:)
We took the cup for Hybrid Division last season (2008 / 09), finishing a spectacular four points clear of second-placed Chaldon BC.
This season, Chaldon and Ace have not entered teams for the Hybrid league, while new entrants are St. Andrews and the determined Sutton Adults who pipped St Margarets to second place in the Mixed League by winning a total of 58 games over the season to St Margarets' 54, whereby they gained promotion, by the narrowest of margins, to Division 2.
So, congratulations to Sutton Adults (and St Margarets, too!)Mixed League:
Though ending the season in third position (midway) of the division, St Margarets actually tied on points with second-placed Sutton Adults (1), with 14 points each, and finished only two points behind the Division-winner Tooting (16 points), whereby both Sutton and Tooting gained promotion to Division Two. Their replacements in the division are sister-clubs Coulsdon & Purley (3), who come up as winners of Division Four, and Coulsdon & Purley (2), newly recruited to the Sutton & District League (one presumes). St Margarets may therefore confidently anticipate some tough competition in the Mixed League this season.
